What you love-poem

If you’re not doing
what you love—
stop, breath,
and reassess.
It’s never too late.
No one pays you enough
to lose your dreams.
Employers don’t care if
you’re a poet,
writer,
photographer,
or painter.
If you don’t care enough
to pursue your dreams,
what your giftings are?
No one will.

I need A break-Poem

I need a break in life:
like winning the lotto,
Having that extra pot of money would help
dot
dot
dot.
What I really need is time that’s
not subtracted from my earnings;
time to sit and write poems,
time to sit and be clever,
time to sit and write witty remarks.
No one pays for that unless your famous–
then its a race between you and death.
Death always wins.
