My Words

Understanding the World through words

Son

I remember,
Standing outside together as
The spring sun
Brushed my hair, you had
Important news to share.

I remember, the tears I
shed knowing your life–

Suddenly became an hourglass
Turned over for the last time.

I remember that final time
In your tired broken voice when
you called me, son.

Isaiah and The Golden Age

Dancing to the Golden Age

Isaiah holding a black rose

In his hand -while Joanna

holds him tight…

He’s only three but so

bright. A diamond in the

making and sweet as caramel

Pie. The boy is pure honey

that melts your soul

In between the age of

toddler and child we see

him grow, but

please-not so fast!

With one roller blade and his

cape he scoots around all day. Now

he’s dancing with his mother

It’s the dance of life.

Mother and child

unspeakable love.

If you could bottle up this

Moment it would bring

World peace, I swear to God!
