Sometimes, I get stuck
in the muddy forest of words–
because meanings get misunderstood
like what is love?
Its easy to “love” someone when they
behave like you, dress like you,
speak like you, are as smart as you are.
But, love is truly measured when:
People don’t behave like you, dress like you,
speak like you or are as educated as you are.
If you give “love” a challenge and
they rock your boat–making
you feel that you’re suddenly falling “out of love”
Was it meaningful?
Are you committed?
Are you capable?
Perhaps you stepped into the mire,
the tangled forest of misunderstood words?
