Naboth’s Vineyard

Naboth’s vineyard
was enticing,
well kept and
carefully tended.

The King saw it
and lusted.

He coveted
after
another
mans laborious
fruit.

It’s a recurring
theme in the
annals
of the
the Kings
of Israel.

Men who have
everything,
desire more.

And,
will stop
at nothing
to gratify
their selfish
needs.

To this day
we see men
hunger
for more.

Their
greed leading
us
to grievous
war.

I’ve prayed
the prayer
of the wise
King-

“Let me not
be too rich
or too poor,
and

keep me
from the
temptation
of unsatisfied
desire.”

Because,
In the end
it leads
to ones
destruction.
